We were writing about a past relationship I was in and I was explaining how he started dating the sweetest girl in our high school. I explained how it was so hard not to like her even though I still wanted to be with him at the time. Tana says “So basically you kinda wanna hate her, you kinda want be her.” And “I Kinda Don’t” was born. ”
